Arbor College Park Website Launch – Headless CMS Platform for Student Housing at the University of Maryland

We’re excited to announce the launch of the new website for Arbor College Park, a modern student housing project located near the University of Maryland in College Park, Washington DC. The platform was developed as a fully headless website, combining a flexible content architecture with a high-performance frontend. The design was created in close collaboration with our partner JakobJakob, resulting in a clean, modern interface tailored to prospective students exploring housing options. The website is built with Sanity as the headless CMS, Next.js for the frontend, and Tailwind CSS for a flexible and scalable UI system, enabling fast performance, easy content management, and a future-proof technical foundation.

Interactive Apartment Availability Experience

One of the key features of the platform is a fully interactive availability section that allows students to explore available apartments visually. Instead of browsing static lists, users can navigate through a custom interactive SVG floor overview, where apartments are displayed across different floors of the building. Prospective residents can filter units by price, move-in date, number of bedrooms, and other criteria, making the search process intuitive and transparent. This approach creates a much more engaging browsing experience and helps students quickly understand what options are available without leaving the page.

Interactive Neighborhood Map and Smart Integrations

To help future residents understand the surrounding area, the website also includes an interactive neighborhood map built with Mapbox and custom styling. The map highlights relevant locations around College Park, including restaurants and bars, groceries and everyday essentials, cafés, and other nearby spots that are useful for student life. Each category can be explored interactively, giving users a better sense of the local environment before moving in. The platform is complemented by a Mailchimp integration, allowing prospective students to easily register for updates and stay informed about availability and upcoming announcements.

With the combination of a headless architecture, interactive UI components, and scalable content management, the Arbor College Park website creates a modern digital experience that reflects the needs of today’s students while providing a flexible foundation for future growth.
